Privacy statement

Rob Dose Photography would like to lead by example. We have drafted a privacy policy (which will not be disclosed in full) to help protect the safety, security and privacy of our clients and their families. We encourage you to consider the same before posting images obtained through our service on social media and public forums. Online safety is a real risk and you have to act appropriately to protect yourself.

Some of the important areas to consider are;

Children
New measures are being put in place to limit the number of images contained on this web site of people under the age of 18. These measures are being taken to improve the ability of my clients and their families to manage the online privacy of their young ones.

2011 has seen the invasion of privacy of Perth families through the medium of Facebook and the likes for the sole purpose of eliciting emotional responses. The people perpetrating these events have been found to be based in other countries, however in the world of the web all locations are equal.

One of these events featured the copying and reposting of photos containing children without the permission of the parents. These images were posted along with distasteful captions onto popular parenting forums. While none of the images were found to have originated from this or any of our related websites, we do not want to be in a positon in the future where this does occur. As a consequence, we will no longer be posting public comprehensive galleries of every wedding and event that we do, and instead focus more on the client based individual photography we capture.

Private Property
We will not be posting any image which allow for the easy recognition of a private property, its location or it's belongings. This includes reducing the amount of images that may as a set allow for the recognition of a location.

Often in this business we are invited into the homes of our clients to photograph events on a wedding day or for a portrait session. This can lead to easily recognisable features of a home that would allow for a less then honest person to track down and obtain access. Coupled with photographs disclosing the belongings and floor plan of a home could open you up to a targeted attack. For this reason we will withhold images from the public that could lead to these risks.

Removing images from this website
We will happily take down images that pose a threat to your safety, security or privacy. Please email us through the contact form on this website to request a take down.

Please note that under our standard photography agreement, we retain the right to use your images for the promotion of Rob Dose Photography. If you feel that your unique circumstances could be a conflict with this, please let us know and we would be happy to discuss a different arrangement.
