Learning to view stereographs online
3D - Stereo - Cross-eye side by side viewing.
3D content requires special viewing technologies and techniques to see correctly. Unfortunately, the likely hood that you are viewing this web site on one of the various 3D capable display technologies is very slim. To overcome this we specifically use a form of cross eyed parallel viewing to show off our 3D content to visitors. This viewing technique requires about 15 minutes to learn and once mastered can be used at will with little to no effort.
Below is a stereo pair of images arranged to be viewed cross eyed. We created this image because the heavy contrast will allow your eyes to lock on more easily while you are still learning.
To view this image, stare at the center of the pair and cross your eyes until both images overlap in the center. Once close enough, your eyes will register the image and focus properly allowing you to see the 3D perspective. In this image, the white box is situated on the screen with the red box appearing behind the screen and the blue box appearing in front of it.
